Biography

Mark started this project in 1999 with the intention to create thought-provoking music. He completed the first cassette demo for Subject To Thoughts, entitled "Outlook" in 2001. This debut cassette featured no vocals. In May of 2003, Mark completed the second cassette demo entitled "The Thought Process," and vocals were introduced for the first time. In August of 2005, Mark completed the third full length demo entitled "From Emptiness to Beyond." This was the first time Mark had recorded onto CD format. Finally, in July of 2006, he completed the demo entitled "To Embrace the Light." This demo consists of 13 songs with a running time of 75 minutes. To Embrace the Light, just like From Emptiness to Beyond, is a concept album.

In reality, this new demo is the second chapter to Mark's four part conceptual vision, so it begins where From Emptiness to Beyond left off. It's theme throughout the entire demo deals with ways that Mark had found to better his perception of life once the light was seen. To always strive ahead no matter the situation. In March of 2007, Mark decided to enlist a new vocalist into the project. The member that he acquired is Brandon Strader (from Rainwound, In Staid Grace). You've heard his abilities on his debut with Subject To Thoughts, entitled From Sunrise to Sunset. Brandon has also performed guitar solos on this disc. Subject To Thoughts can best be described as Dark Melodic Progressive Rock with a New Age mood.
